The Crop Production Systems Research Unit (CPSRU) has a comprehensive
interdisciplinary research program dedicated to solving problems associated
with crop management.
Specific research emphasis is focused on:
Developing innovative management systems based on rational use of GMO
resistant systems, rotations, optium fertilization and agrochemicals, and
tillage systems;
Developing and improving methods for optimal delivery of agrochemicals
and other products;
Defining and optimizing irrigation approaches and scheduling to judiciously
apply water and conserve water resources;
Assessing the impacts of herbicide use and management practices on soil
resources and water quality;
Determining the critical biological factors determining weediness.
