Our Mission is to  ensure  long-term competitiveness of the U.S. tree  fruit  industry in the global  market.  The research we conduct is focused within the following broad categories:

  • Maintaining exceptional quality of fruit in storage, in transit and in the market

  • Reducing, predicting and preventing physiological fruit disorders

  • Detecting and managing microorganisms that affect yield, production efficiency and loss in storage

  • Investigating the molecular/genetical basis for fruit quality trait regulation
